Many older photographs have suffered some damage over the years. Digital-Vistas uses sophisticated software and techniques to restore these images to their original condition. 

The degree of damage can vary greatly, from minor stains that obscure portions of the image to major rips and tears where parts of the image are actually missing.

 Because of this variance we offer a free quotation service where we will review the damaged image(s) and provide you with a firm quotation for restoration. In the majority cases the restoration is a few dollars but if there is significant damage it can be higher.

The example here from 1948 is a typical restoration project. The owner of this photograph wanted to present a restored version as a birthday gift. The original studio portrait was in an 8.5" x 11.0"  format on high quality mat paper but the photograph was torn and faded with some water stains.

This restoration project was completed in less than two hours at a total cost of $25 to the customer.
