We scan slides and negatives as well as photographs up to 8.5 x 12 inches. Regardless of the format, we review each image to determine the best possible approach to ensure optimum results. Our scanning process includes color correction, dust & scratch removal as well as cropping. Once your photographs have been processed we place them on a private on-line web gallery for your review.
When you have reviewed the images, we place them on a CD or DVD so that they may be viewed on your computer or DVD player. In addition to the high resolution scanned images we include web/email ready versions of each image so that you can easily send copies to friends and family via email or post them on the web.
We scan scan photographs and negatives at 600dpi and slides at 3200dpi providing extremely high quality images. All images are saved in standard JPEG format with minimum compression.
DVD Slide Shows
An ideal way to present your photograph collection is to have Digital Vistas create an Interactive DVD Slide Show which includes slide transitions and music making this the perfect gift for family and friends. Slide shows can include hundreds of photographs as well as video clips from your restored collection.
Archival Services
Many public institutions such as museums and libraries have large collections of photographs and documents that are deteriorating with time. Digital Vistas offers a professional archival service to support these clients. Images are scanned at even higher resolutions than our standard service and saved in TIFF format. These options produce much larger files which are typically fifty times larger than the standard JPEG images. These options cost a few more cents per image.
